My new property has a shed which was remodeled over the years into the perfect Poker Palace. After some months of rehabbing, we were ready to play. But something was missing. I know, a poker sign!

With leftover materials, a donated string of old Xmas lights and about $20 worth of paint I created an appropriate sign for the Poker Palace.

After the design was finalized, a full sized print was made - which needed to be taped together.

Captions appear above each photo.

The backing plywood for the sign is prepped and the boarder is glued in place.

At this point the boarder has been rounded, the holes are drilled for the Xmas light sockets and everything has been sanded.

All letters were cut from 3/8" plywood.

The letters were prepped and sanded.

And then primed.

The back of the sign was primed first.

Here's a view of the front of the sign primed and lit with white Xmas lights. The sockets were epoxyed in flush with the boarder.

The backs of the letters freshly painted with white gloss.

The interior was spray painted green.

Gold spray paint was applied to the letters spelling Poker Palace.

The, was painted gloss red.

The boarder was painted gloss black.

Test placement of the final letter layout.

Test layout with bulbs in place and lit.

Spacers were added to clear the wiring and provide a solid mounting for the brackets. The back is painted gloss white.

Brackets cut, painted and assembled waiting for installation.

The Poker Palace sign installed.

Another shot.

At night.
